Being a part of the curriculum, the library of Howard Lane Senior School has become an important tool in the propagation of academic advancement. Our librarian and teachers encourage the children to choose books according to their taste, fostering a love for reading and learning. We find that our children are improving not only in the subject matter chosen for reading but also in language expression, vocabulary, and fluency. The diverse collection of books, ranging from fiction to non-fiction, helps students broaden their knowledge and enhances their critical thinking skills. The library also serves as a quiet, focused space where students can explore their interests and delve deeper into topics related to their curriculum. By nurturing a reading culture, we aim to empower students to become lifelong learners who appreciate the value of knowledge and the importance of independent learning. Regular reading sessions and book discussions further contribute to their intellectual growth, helping them connect the written word to real-life experiences. Additionally, the library fosters creativity and imagination, encouraging students to think outside the box, engage in reflective thinking, and express their ideas confidently.
